In a consumer advisory, the airline cautions potential customers about a fraudulent Instagram account that promises free Mango flights.
The fake Instagram account bears the airline's brand and the promise of complimentary flights for 12 500 users.
"This is not an official Mango online presence and the airline has initiated its removal," Mango said in a statement.
Mango advised consumers not to provide any personal information to any platforms outside the airline's official communication channels.
Mango's official online presence comprises its website, mobisite, apps for Android, Apple and Blackberry 10 devices, Facebook (www.facebook.com/flymangosa) and Twitter (@flymangosa).
