Bereft Santos fan sues Neymar

Neymar is being sued by a supporter of his former club, Santos, for choosing to leave it for Barcelona, according to reports in Brazil.

Brazilian lawyer Luciano Pereira Caparroz, a lifelong Santos fan, is taking action against the star striker for signing a pre-contract agreement with Barca before the Club World Cup tie against the Catalan club in 2011.

Caparroz claims he spent around $3 000 to travel to Japan to attend the match, which Santos lost 4-0, and was furious to discover that Neymar had signed the deal with Barca beforehand.

He has now filed a lawsuit against Neymar and N&N, the company owned by the player's father which represents him, in a Sao Paulo court for the amount of $10 000.
