The mother of gospel singer Sfiso Ncwane, who last week made headlines after he bought a car worth R1,9 million and handed it over to Reverend Francis Anosike of Rock Of Victory Ministries church, says she sometimes goes to bed on an empty stomach.

Fikile Ncwane, 60, told Daily Sun on Monday that Sfiso and her wife are not supporting her financially and claims whenever she asks for money from her daughter in-law Ayanda, she scolds her.

“I have no food while my son buys expensive gifts,” she told the paper. “You can visit my house and see for yourself that there is no food. My fridge is empty,” she claimed.

“I have been starving. Sometimes I go to sleep without any food,” said Fikile.

She said she almost fainted when she saw pictures of her son handing over the V8 AMG Mercedes-Benz.

Sfiso's mother spoke to the paper after regional KZN paper Ilanga Lange Sonto reported that the gospel star has allegedly turned a blind eye to his mother’s suffering.

Ayanda Ncwane said her family has taken the decision not to speak to the media anymore.
