Mzansi Magic apologises, pulls repeat of controversial 'Our Perfect Wedding' episode

The channel has issued an apology for broadcasting an episode of Our Perfect Wedding which glamourised the love story of a man who met his bride when she was 14 and he 28.

In a statement, Mzansi Magic stated it would refrain from airing a repeat of the episode which was broadcast on Sunday, 29 November.

"At Mzansi Magic, we are committed to telling stories that impact our viewers and build our communities whilst challenging society to engage in meaningful conversations but we do not condone any unlawful behaviour.

"Mzansi Magic would like to apologise for airing the segment that has upset our viewers. We take the concerns of our viewers seriously, it is for this reason we have taken the decision not to broadcast the episode again," the channel said.
