A pedestrian believed to be in his thirties was killed on Saturday morning when he was struck by a vehicle on the M1 north before the Booysens off ramp in Johannesburg.
“Shortly before 11am paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene where they found the man in the road with fatal injuries. Sadly‚ there was nothing that they could do for him and he was declared dead on the scene‚” said ER24 spokesman Werner Vermaak.
The driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries‚ he said.
“The scene was handed over to the local authorities for further investigation.”
