Six people have been killed execution-style in Hammarsdale‚ west of Durban‚ in an apparent massacre.
Three of the victims are believed to be children.
Details are still sketchy‚ but Police said the incident happened on Friday night. Initial reports suggested that three of the victims were family members but police could not immediately confirm this.
Police spokesman Colonel Thembeka Mbhele said the murders were committed near the Georgedale Primary School at about 9.30pm.
“Police are still busy with the investigation. We can confirm that six people died and one is in a stable condition in hospital‚” she said.
No further details were available. The Times was heading to the scene on Saturday morning.
