Excitedly calling it "brilliant news"‚ Gauteng's weather service has announced that the Vaal Dam was 90% full as at lunchtime on Friday.
Thanks to the week's rains‚ the service said on Friday morning the dam level had risen by 23‚69% points in the past 96 hours.
Here are the levels since Monday:
Friday morning: 88‚48%
Thursday: 81‚64%
Wednesday: 71‚62%
Tuesday: 64‚79%
Monday: 64‚14%
More rain is expected in Gauteng over the next few days‚ much like the Friday forecast mapped by Weather SA.
