Cold 11 degrees for Johannesburg predicted‚ with storm warnings for Gauteng

Severe thunderstorms are possible in places over Gauteng and the highveld of Mpumalanga from tomorrow afternoon‚ the South African Weather Service‏ said today.

The forecast for Gauteng on Saturday (13 May 2017) shows rainy and cold conditions.

Johannesburg is expected to have a maximum of 11C while Pretoria is set to have a max of 12C.

By Monday‚ the weather service expects a general recovery of daytime temperatures across the country‚ when many regions will experience sunny‚ mild weather‚ although the Drakensberg‚ at higher elevations‚ will remain clear but cold.
