Taxi crash-lands between houses in Durban

One person died and several passengers were injured when a taxi rolled over‚ before coming to a stop between a cluster of houses in V-section in Umlazi‚ south of Durban‚ on Monday morning.

Ceron Lennox‚ Rescue Care's advanced life support paramedic‚ said the deceased man was ejected from the taxi in Umlazi and sustained extensive fatal injuries.

"The vehicle rolled off Mangosuthu highway and came to rest among houses. Fourteen people have been transported to hospital‚" said Lennox.

Lennox said the highway was closed.
