Former president Jacob Zuma is due to appear in court on Friday to face 16 charges of corruption, money-laundering, fraud and racketeering for his alleged involvement in the multi-billion rand arms deal.

Zuma denies any wrongdoing and is challenging the decision to prosecute the case. The court appearance is expected to be brief and is likely to be postponed.
