A 15-year-old boy is in a critical condition after being stabbed outside his school in Doornfontein‚ Johannesburg‚ paramedics say.

ER24 said its paramedics treated him after they were called out to the school.

He sustained numerous stab wounds.

The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon.

He is receiving treatment at the Charlotte Maxeke Provincial Hospital.
