Almost every time Ayanda Mabulu unveils his art pieces they trigger strong reactions, and things were no different with his latest project.

This time, the venue for Mabulu's reveal was the heart of capitalism, the JSE.

Staff at the building were greeted by a massive painting depicting Steinhoff CEO Markus Jooste in a sexual act with a black woman, and the late AWB leader Eugène Terre'Blanche sitting on a toilet.

Also shown in the painting are Nazi and AWB symbols.

Other than the painting, Mabulu's display included pig heads with cash notes in their mouths. Some people believed this to be a swipe at law enforcement officials who take bribes.

Just as people were reacting to the painting and Mabulu's choice of venue for the launch, reports emerged that he'd been arrested in connection with his latest work.

Police later confirmed that there was no arrest. Mabulu had only been removed from the JSE precinct and warned not to return with his brand of art.

As always, Mabulu aroused mixed reactions on social media.
