Now Dutch Reformed Church won’t appeal same-sex ruling
Joy belles Same sex-marriage officiated by ministers of the Dutch Reformed Church is now legal, though it may be some time before they receive official permission from the department of home affairs to conduct ceremonies within the church walls.

The Dutch Reformed Church has decided not to appeal the High Court ruling that reversed its decision to ban same-sex unions within the church.
This means the initial 2015 decision by the church synod stands – for now. The matter will be discussed at a synod summit in October, said church spokesperson Nelius van Rensburg.
