Blade swats away demand for extra money for failing students

Higher education minister Blade Nzimande has rejected demands by students that those who do not complete their studies in record time be awarded funding.

Higher education minister Blade Nzimande has rejected demands by a student union that those who fail to complete their studies within the stipulated time be awarded a further two years of funding to complete it.

This comes after the union rejected “the exclusionary policy of N+1” when it relates to NSFAS funding.
