A Mpumalanga farm worker who had sleepless nights – wondering where her family’s next meal would come from after being told she would not get paid during the lockdown - will now breathe easier following food donations.

A mother of three who has lost her income during the lockdown and whose children fished in a river for food, is now "over the moon".

Donations have poured in after a Times Select feature on the desperate family struck a chord with fellow South Africans.
