The Mayor of London Boris Johnson’s silver-tongued charm has deserted him in a confrontation with a local taxi driver, whom he told to “f*** off and die” after the pair reportedly clashed over the MP's support of Uber.

The mayor of London was cycling through Islington in north London late at night on Friday, June 5, when a passing cabbie apparently accused him of failing to protect the city’s black cab industry, according to the UK's IBT.

“The cabbie shouted: “You’re one of them, mate. That’s what you are. One of them.”

Johnson's expletive-ridden response was captured on video, which was obtained by The Sun newspaper, and appears to show him saying to the driver "Why don't you f**k off and die – and not in that order."
