WATCH | Holy cow! Meet Knickers the giant steer, too big to be slaughtered

Knickers stands 1.94 metres tall and weighs 1.4 tons.

ABC reports the seven-year-old steer is almost as tall as NBA legend Michael Jordan and weighs more than a Mini Cooper car at about 1,400 kilograms. That's double the weight of the average Holstein Friesian (a breed of dairy cattle) and half a metre taller.

ABC News reports Knickers' owner Geoff Pearson says the steer is too big to go through a processing facility, so he'll live happily ever after on the farm.

So how did it get this big? Even Pearson doesn't know. He told the Guardian, "We don’t know that ourselves. It’s just a freaky thing."
