The EFF has rejected reports that it is trying to poach Mcebo Dlamini from the Wits branch of the ANCYL.
"The EFF recruitment strategy does not rely on national leadership trying to poach high profile members of other political parties. We prefer that they join on their own volition so that they own up to the process of their own decision making," the EFF said in a statement.
Dlamini told the Sunday World that the EFF were so desperate to have him don the red beret that they offered him Vuyani Pambo's job as their Wits EFF chairman.
“Yes, Dali Mpofu asked me to join the EFF and we spoke at length about that. But I have not given that a thought. I remain a member of the ANC in good standing,” Dlamini told the paper.
Dlamini had also previously stated an admiration for Hitler. Before that he was caught lying about being a Sisulu.
The EFF further wished to point out that the Facebook page spreading the rumours was in fact fake.
"Our National Chairperson, Dali Mpofu does not have a Facebook account, therefore all things written in that account are not official and do not represent his views," the EFF said.
