False black and white divide leaves me feeling blue as DA marches

When the #ZumaMustFall march happened last year, people asked where the black people were and we showed them. Now pretty much the same people are complaining about the lack of whites in the DA march.
I am not a fan of the DA, I thought they lost a lot of credibility on racism when they reversed their decision on Dianne Kohler Barnard.
That said, whenever there is any sort of a mass protest action going on there is invariably a sector of the population that will try to divide it up neatly along racial lines in order to undermine it.
#DAforJobs whites don't need to burn in the sun, they have our land and white privilafe written all over them. #blacksmarchalone

The fact is that our problems are our problems, they are shared by all of us no matter what race, gender or sexual orientation we may subscribe to. If my brother starves, he is my family whether he be black or white.
That is what being a nation is all about - recognising that no matter what we think of each other we are in this thing together, we are ultimately one family.
And we are going to have different ideas on how to deal with that - that is why we have different political parties. It is not about tribal affiliation but rather about who you think has the best shot of working for everyone.
This racist bullshit is a luxury our country cannot afford - we have enough divides without having to build in fake ones.
