Suspended National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) deputy head advocate Nomgcobo Jiba appeared before the Mokgoro inquiry on Monday.
The ongoing cross-examination is to establish whether she and suspended director of public prosecutions Lawrence Mrwebi are fit to hold office.

Mokgoro inquiry
During her appearance on Monday, Jiba maintained that she did not obstruct any prosecutions of high-profile individuals to protect them while at the NPA.
According to SowetanLIVE, Jiba said it was hard working under Mxolisi Nxasana and described the atmosphere at the time as that of fear.
This was in 2014, after she had been transferred from the national prosecuting unit to the civil litigation unit.
Bosasa payments
On Thursday, Jiba denied any relations with the controversial African Global Operations, formerly known as Bosasa, including being under its payroll.
This question by the inquiry came after former Bosasa chief operating officer Angelo Agrizzi testified before the Zondo commission that former correctional services commissioner Linda Mti would meet the NPA team weekly to give Jiba R100,000 in exchange for confidential documents regarding the investigations into Bosasa.
Cato Manor cops take aim at Jiba
More than 26 members of the Cato Manor police unit in Durban, including retired Hawks boss Johan Booysen, filed additional papers in court to challenge Jiba.
Booysen said he and the other cops were questioning the legitimacy of the racketeering charges against the group.
In their court documents, the group included the evidence presented before the Zondo and Mokgoro commissions, saying it "shed light" on Jiba's conduct at the NPA.
Willie Hofmeyr: "Jiba and Mrwebi sabotaged investigations"
The deputy director of public prosecutions at the NPA, Willie Hofmeyr, told the commission that his colleagues Jiba and Mrwebi sabotaged investigations into politicians.
He further alleged Mrwebi's refusal to co-operate with Nxasana showed that he was unfit to hold office.
Hofmeyr claimed Mrwebi's office was searched for information, because he refused to give it to Nxasana.
Chris Macadam vs Jiba
Senior prosecutor Chris Macadam appeared before the commission, where he spoke about how he was axed.
Macadam, who was tasked with leading investigations into foreign bribery, was told to hand over his cases and investigations to the serious crimes litigation unit which was headed by Lawrence Mrwebi.
Macadam said he was given 24 hours to do so.
He was investigating the alleged bribing of a Petro SA official and the alleged bribing of government officials by UK entities.
