The Springboks, who started their champions’ national trophy tour at the Union Buildings on Thursday morning, were met with cheers from an excited crowd. 

President Cyril Ramaphosa welcomed the Boks, saying, “These are our warriors who went out to war and brought back the trophy.

“We sent them out to represent the country and they did so with excellence.

“The country thanks you and we are very proud of you.”
