The SABC and the South African Football Association (Safa) have a signed a three-year deal that will see the national broadcaster the right to broadcast all local matches for Bafana Bafana, Banyana Banyana and junior national teams.

The agreement will run from 2015 until 2017 and matches will be broadcast on the South African Broadcasting Corporation’s (SABC) radio and television platforms, according to KickOff on Wednesday.

“As the SABC this agreement will provide a platform for soccer loving South Africans, through our various channels, which have a far reaching footprint across the country, an opportunity to see their national teams in action,” said SABC chief operations officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng.

Safa chief exective Dennis Mumble said: “We thank the SABC for ensuring the South African public enjoys the national teams on live television and radio.”
