The whole world was mesmerised by the wedding of British royal Prince Harry to American actress Meghan Markle on Saturday.

The bride's stunning white dress and veil were designed by Clare Waight Keller, Artistic Director at Givenchy, while Prince Harry and his brother and best man Prince William were both in black and gold uniforms of the Blues and Royals.

Not wanting to be left out of the festivities, South Africans hosted their own viewing parties, some fit to be weddings themselves.

Like British born Katie Friedman and her South African British husband Jonny from Urban Lime (property developers), who hosted a wedding party of their own for 300 guests at their home in Morningside, Durban, with a live screening of the royal wedding.
