Feeling stressed and need an ocean view to unwind - without leaving your desk?
The Umhlanga Rocks website is making this possible through its new weather watch page.
Cara O’Reilly from the Umhlanga Improvement Precinct (UIP) said the page was included on the website because "as a sea-centric place it’s important to include a weather connection".
"The bonus of access to the webcam means people have a live view of the ocean and local conditions."
The five-star Oyster Box Hotel has allowed the UIP access to its live webcam. Weather updates will be provided by Windguru.
In December the posh seaside town introduced free, unlimited Wi-Fi on its beaches, in line with international trends. Installation at key points along Umhlanga’s renowned promenade was completed in November.
