Hop-on hop-off buses are launching in Johannesburg.
Last June MEC Qedani Mahlangu announced that Gauteng's first hop-on hop-off bus would be launched in January 2013.
"Tourists will soon be able to jump on an iconic red open top bus and explore some of the most famous tourist locations in Johannesburg," she said in a statement.
"These buses will allow visitors to explore the city's history in a safe and convenient way, making the city more tourist friendly."
According to the Tourist Sight Seeing website, the Johannesburg service is due to start on 15 January. Tourists can buy 1-day Ticket Online for R120, and receive a free Gold Reef City voucher to the same value of the ticket. Ticket sale open on 10 January.
Cape Town's Hop-on hop-off bus service is already in operation.
