Benni McCarthy's baby mama on drugs after the striker abandoned the baby

Former Bafana Bafana goal scoring machine Benni McCarthy has become the latest footballer to be given the baby mama blues.

This emerged after a woman claimed that the former Orlando Pirates striker is the father of her baby, according to Move magazine as per Channel24.

The family of the woman claim that McCarthy, who dated the then 19-year-old back in 2011, ran away after the baby was born.

"I'm so angry with Pearl and Benni," Pearl's sister, Sindi, told the website. "Benni used to fly her around the country. He dumped her and now she's a drug addict."

Pearl's family say all they want now is for McCarthy to man up and pick up his responsibilities.

"He is free to do a paternity test. He must do the honourable thing and be a father to his child," another sister, Nomfundo, charged.

Benni's agent and friend Percy Adams has rubbished the claims, calling them “silly”.
