WATCH: Empire's Cookie 'falls in love' with Somizi
Nearly everyone who watches hit US TV drama Empire invariably falls in love with one of its lead characters, Cookie Lyon. But what happens when one of the show's biggest stars meets our very own Somizi?
Somizi has captured the hearts of nearly every South African. So, when the charismatic Idols SA judge hosted Empire's Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard at an event on Tuesday night, we had no doubt he would be a hit.
And it seems that Somizi and Taraji bonded quite nicely. In fact, he even taught her his famous "Whoo sheem" catchphrase.
According to Somzi's bestie Unathi Msengana, Taraji was blown away by him.
She detailed an hilarious conversation between the three of them where Taraji said she loved Somzi and he jokingly said that he would convert for her.
"Taraji says 'OMG I love him' I say 'Don't! You're not his target market'. Somizi says 'I'll convert for you'. I say 'BUFEBE bodwa!' She kisses him!!!!! Smh!,"she wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
Reflecting on meeting Taraji, Somizi later wrote that it felt like a reunion of long-time friends.
"You know when you meet someone for the first (time) but feel like you have known each other for years. That's Taraji," he wrote.
And what would a happy reunion be without gifts, right?
