AKA blasts alleged 'hectic mistreatment' of local artists at J Cole concert
Hip-hop sensation AKA has once again slammed local artists being treated poorly compared to international artists visiting Mzansi.
The rapper's comments come at the back of J Cole's concert in Johannesburg this past weekend.
AKA took to social media to share stories from some of his music pals who were billed to perform at the concert.
Hearing stories of hectic mistreatment of SA acts at J.Cole ... I BEEN singing this song!!!!

One artist told me he wasn't even done recovering from his own performance, in his own dressing room. They cleared the entire backstage

They removed everybody from backstage and shut down the entire road behind the dressing rooms for J.Cole

The Baddest rapper reflected on a personal experience he had a few years ago when he opened for Kanye West, and how he's been speaking out about the alleged mistreatment of local artists ever since.
When I opened for Kanye, nobody was allowed within 100m of his dressing room

When I opened up for Kanye, nobody was allowed to see him ... When he drove into the backstage, you had to be in your dressing room

That Kanye show was in 2012/2013. Haven't done one of these "open up for" shows since. Get treated like dirt in my own country? No thanks.

AKA added that it's not that he does not want to share a stage with international stars, he just wants to be treated the same as them in his own country.
I don't hate Bonang, says Euphonik The DJ held a Twitter q&a and obviously the Bonang question came up...
It's not that I don't want to perform on he same line up as them! No! It's that I want the same treatment with regards to PRODUCTION VALUE.
