Atandwa Kani twists the knife in long standing feud with Thembisa Mdoda

Sowetan on Wednesday reported how Kani, son of theatre legend John Kani, was paying lobola for his current flame, actress Fikile Mthwalo, months after they tied the knot.

Kani, who released a statement via his publicist, said that he and Mdoda were just on-and-off casual partners through the years, until she fell pregnant.

Speaking to Sowetan, Kani said he wanted to end speculation that he was ever married to Mdoda.

"There was no marriage, customary or modern. The lobola process had been started and stopped. I eventually got my money back."

Kani said he would like to speak out against what he calls a 'twist of the story' by Mdoda.

The two have been involved in public spats on social media for several months now.

When Mdoda was contacted by TMG Entertainment she declined to comment with family spokesperson John Dludlu saying that the family would not comment on any of the allegations.
