Must listen: NaakMusiQ & Kwesta give Nathi's Nomvula the hip-hop treatment

July has brought with it all kinds of surprises! Including a hip-hop remix of musician Nathi Mankayi's hit Nomvula.

Nomvula has become an unofficial national anthem for South Africans, and so if it was ever going to get a touch-up, it would have to be at the hands of some pretty talented artists.

Luckily, the likes of NaakMusiQ and rapper Kwesta agreed to try their hand at a remix of the Metro FM Award- winning song of the year.

The duo teamed up with hip-hop group ShoutOut SA on the track, giving it a more raw and rap feel.

The remix dropped on Friday and has so far been received well by fans.
