Cassper's debut album goes multi-platinum
Rapper Cassper Nyovest is swimming in platinum. The rapper announced to fans earlier this week that his debut album has gone multi-platinum and his second one has been certified double-platinum.
Cassper confirmed the news during a Twitter Q&A session with fans, saying that he didn't want to announce anything until his certificate had arrived.
When asked by a fan whether his second album Refiloe had gone double-platinum, Cassper replied that it had.

His debut album went gold within three months of its release in 2014, and six months later was certified platinum.
The rapper went a less conventional route to gold certification with his next album, including the cost of the album in ticket prices and giving it away to fans at his Fill Up The Dome concert last year- thus ensuring that he sold enough copies for the album to go gold on the first day of its release.
In December he announced that the album had gone platinum, while encouraging fans to help it make go double-platinum.
