Thandiswa Mazwai will be performing at a #FeesMustFall funraiser concert this weekend.

The star has been hinting at the musical project for some time now, but has been shy to offer any details.

That was until this week when the star took to Instagram to reveal that she is working on a jazz tributes album, filled with covers of hits from the likes of Letta Mbulu, Busi Mhlongo, Dorothy Masuka, Caiphus Semenya, Hugh Masekela and Miriam Makeba.

She posted a collage of some of the artists she will be featuring on the project.

Speaking to TransAfrica Radio recently, she revealed that the project is just one of two albums she is working on at the moment, explaining it was an "easy way" to get back into music after a long battle with writer's block.

"I had writer’s block for five years, so this was just an easy way for me to get back into making music,” she said.

Thandiswa has previously let fans in to the making of the album, explaining that she lit incense to bring "peace/clarity/blessings..." while recording one of Busi Mhlongo's songs.
