Actress Jessica Nkosi has once again reflected on the pain of losing her dad to cancer, which has ignited a passion in her to make a difference in the lives of others.

Speaking to Drum magazine Jessica explained that losing her father was one of the most painful experiences of her life.

She was 16-years-old when her fatherwho suffered from a rare case of Hodgkin's lymphoma, which is a cancer of the blood, died.

"Losing my father was the most painful thing. I didn't think I would be able to live without him," she told the publication.

Ever since her father's death, Jessica has always wondered if her dad would still be alive had his cancer been detected earlier.

The painful experience inspired her to help others.

Jessica, who was recently unveiled as a global ambassador of Clinque's Difference Makers campaign, is also set to launch her own foundation.

The actress told the magazine that her foundation aims to provide pupils from disadvantaged schools with uniforms.
