AKA charges between R90,000 & R130,000 for a gig
Rapper AKA is one of the biggest entertainers in the country, so you can imagine it will take a little more than some pocket change to have him perform at your event. In fact, it could cost you anything between R90,000 and R130,000.
The rapper revealed the figure he charges for events during a heated Twitter argument over the weekend.
AKA was accused by some on Twitter of getting rich from campaigning for the ANC during the recent municipal elections. The One Time rapper responded to this by telling fans that the amount he made from the ANC wasn't even enough to cover what he would charge for a 30-minute gig.
For what I got paid for 4 weeks of work for the real stuff campaign. I make more in 30mins on stage. So how am I doing this for money?

But AKA's fee is not much different to the amount that his rival Cassper Nyovest is said to charge.
A Sunday World report in February claimed that Cassper charges around R120 000 for a show, excluding flights and accommodation for himself and his crew. While the rapper recently told fans that he doesn't know how much he charges anymore because the price "keeps going up."
