Anele Mdoda calls out Audi SA over 'no car' for Caster Semenya
Anele's comments come in the wake of a raging debate around gold medalist Wayde van Niekerk being surprised with a brand new Audi R8 worth R1.8 million.
Wayde was welcomed home from the Rio Olympics by a frenzy of fans at OR Tambo International, where his flashy new ride was also waiting for him.
Shortly after news of Wayde's gift emerged on social media, it quickly became a talking point with some people questioning why Caster wasn't given the same gift for her accomplishments at the recent Olympic games.
Adding her voice to the debate, Anele called out Audi SA.

Audi SA responded to Anele stating that Wayde was presented with the car because he was chosen to be an ambassador for the car brand before he left to the Olympics.
The car company went on to add that Wayde, Cameron van der Burgh and Anaso were chosen as ambassadors for Audi before the Olympics.
@Anele as was done with Cameron post his world record breaking performance in the 2012 Olympics. (3)

Audi went on to explain that the R8 was part of a deal it made with Wayde. It was on condition that he would get the fancy car if he broke the world record.
However, Anele does not seem convinced. In a string of spicy tweets Anele went on to share her opinions about women being overlooked in sports.
Truth of the matter is women don't get the same love RT @mariadunga50: @Anele good question Anele I don't know why people are so defensive

Meanwhile, BMW has taken to social media revealing that it is currently in talks with Caster Semenya about getting her on board as an ambassador.
