Bobby van Jaarsveld’s throat surgery was a success

Afrikaans pop star Bobby van Jaarsveld is recovering after undergoing throat surgery on Wednesday.

Posting from his hospital bed, the singer took to Instagram on Wednesday evening to announce that the surgery was a success.

"(The) operation (was a) success. Under anaesthetic I apparently asked if I could braai. I like to braai. A lot. Maybe too much," Bobby joked.

Bobby's latest operation comes only months after he underwent a similar procedure, after discovering possible nodes on his vocal chords, which required him to be on vocal rest at the time.
