WATCH: Simphiwe Dana sings a sweet tribute to Ma Winnie

Afro-soul singer Simphiwe Dana has a voice that could calm even the worst Joburg thunderstorm. And the star recently used that incredible talent to pay tribute to the "mother of the nation" Ma Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.

Simphiwe wrote a song for Ma Winnie and was lucky enough to visit the struggle icon this week to sing it for her personally.

In a video posted to her Instagram, the pair were seen seated next to each other as Simphiwe sang her sweet tribute.

"Singing Mama Winnie the song I wrote for her. What a great honour! I have no words!" Simphiwe wrote of the experience.                                                                                                                 

Fans fell in love with the tribute, with some even suggesting she put it on her next album.
