Listen up! Euphonik says an iTunes number 1 doesn't guarantee success

Your favourite rapper might think that getting to the top of the iTune's chart is a big deal but DJ Euphonik doesn't agree and claims to have the receipts to prove it.

Euphonik took to Twitter on Wednesday to spill the sauce on what he thought it took to make an impact in SA music, and seemed to shade artists who took pride in topping the iTune's charts in the process.

The DJ claimed that it did not take much to top the charts and said that the biggest gauge of popularity at the moment was not iTunes but music app Shazam.

He also claimed that MTN was the biggest distributors of music in the country at the moment.
