Ever since news of veteran actor Joe Mafela's death emerged, the nation has been in a state of mourning and have remembered the decades of laughter he brought to the country.
While Joe had a successful acting, comedy and singing career - he was perhaps most loved for breathing life into the Chicken Licken adverts.

As the face of the popular chicken franchise, Joe coined the catchy phrase, "it's good, good, good, it's good it's nice!".

While Joe's death has been described as a huge loss for the nation, his legacy certainly lives on.
Joe was declared dead by paramedics after being involved in a car accident on the M1 North in Johannesburg on Saturday night.
