Idols judge Somizi delivered a stirring speech at the prayer service for a woman who had been killed in an apparent lesbian hate crime.

Somizi attended the service in Kroonstad on Sunday and told the congregation that "enough is enough."

"In her honour. We need to say enough is enough. Action needs to be taken. You need to visit these streets, walk these streets, and say, 'I am black. I am gay. I am lesbian'. The culprits must know that enough is enough. They must feel your anger" Somizi said.

  • Inside Kwesta's umembesoLocal rapper Kwesta had his umembeso in Ethekwini over the weekend and friends and family shared pictures from the ceremony.

Uploading snippets of his passionate speech, Somizi explained that he was motivated to speak out after hearing how the woman "was brutally raped and murdered because she's lesbian".

The woman's death made headlines last week after several media reports claimed her body had been discovered near a church in Seeisoville township.
