I would charge R5 for people to hear me sing - J'Something reflects on his journey

Mi Casa's J'Something is a man of many talents and has undoubtedly built a thriving empire. But he has not forgotten his humble beginnings.

The singing sensation took a trip down memory lane to reflect on a time he used to charge people R5 for a performance.

"I often just look back at how at a very young age I would demand people around me to listen to me sing ... sometimes I would charge them R5 to hear me sing," he said.

J added that its incredible to be singing for a living.  "Today I do it for a living with my band [Mi Casa]and love every minute of it! Never felt this good about the music we making ... there is a new energy in the familia and we have grown so much."

The hunky singer added that he is grateful to be living his dream and for all the support.
