The Markle family sure are creating controversy in the lead-up to the royal wedding on Saturday, when actress Meghan will marry Prince Harry.

It was on Tuesday revealed that Meghan's father, Thomas, made a deal with a picture agency to stage photos of him preparing for the wedding.

He then told US gossip site, TMZ, he wouldn't be attending the wedding as he didn't want to embarrass his daughter even more. Thomas also said he had a heart attack six days before and left hospital early so that he could attend the wedding.

He later backtracked on this and said he wanted to attend the wedding, but had not heard from his daughter after he confessed to the picture scandal to TMZ first and not Meghan.

Then late last night Thomas said he was getting renewed chest pains and that doctors told him, he would have to undergo surgery, meaning he would not be able to attend the wedding.

He told TMZ that doctors will "go in and clear a blockage, repair damage and put a stent where it is needed."

Thomas said he had also heard from his daughter and she was concerned about his health.

Meanwhile, some of Meghan's estranged family members have arrived in London, despite not being invited to the wedding. It's been rumoured that they have been paid to do commentary on the event, despite not knowing Meghan or seeing her for several years.

Shem. Talk about family drama!
