Birth of Stars' Kamohelo “Kamo WW' Pule is one of the most prominent voices in the entertainment space right now and plans to fulfil his mission to inspire people to live their truth.

The star is nominated in the Socialite and Social Media Personality of the year categories at this year's Feather awards alongside his co-stars Coachella Randy and Kagiso Mogola.

Through Birth Stars, Kamo says he's grateful to have gained the attention of big names in the entertainment space, even getting a shoutout from media personality Bonang Matheba.

“To be noticed and recognised by the people that are icons already in the industry makes me feel like I'm doing something right with what I'm doing, and that I should keep pushing. I put in a lot of effort in my work, “Kamo told TshisaLIVE.

The younger version of him would be proud of where he is today having finally found his voice and grown comfortable in his own skin. He admits it was not an easy journey to go on.

“I think my mission is to show the smaller version of me that it's honestly OK to be yourself and that there are other people you can look up to who are also following  the same path and are very much comfortable with themselves.”

While fame comes at the price of public scrutiny, Kamo says he's not focused on the negative comments as people are merely trying to project their insecurities.

“At the end of the day, people talk. The child that is still in the closet could have dreams of dressing up in feminine clothing and doing makeup but can't do it because they're scared of what people are going to say.

“The younger me took all the hurt. Now it doesn't shake me because I'm comfortable in my skin. I was made this way and there's nothing I can change. I realise that some people are just projecting.”
