When he updated his followers about his collapsed lung recently, radio jock Mark Pilgrim said surgery was a possibility in his battle against stage four lung cancer.
Both his lungs have been accumulating liquid and he had to have them drained but it did, later led to surgery.
He shared a snap on Instagram of himself about to undergo a procedure.
“Surgery later this afternoon to sort out collapsed lung and my 'ICU home' for the next week or so. To the staff and nurses at Milpark Hospital: you are my angels,” he posted.
In his mentions, media personality Bianca le Grange empathised with Mark, commending his bravery.
“And you still remain positive; you are such an inspiration. I’m so sorry for all you [are] going through.”
