'This is nonsense guys' — Pearl Thusi rubbishes claims she is referring to DJ Zinhle in viral video

Actress Pearl Thusi has rubbished claims she was referring to DJ Zinhle in a viral video doing the rounds on Twitter. 

Tweeps were scrambling to make sense of which friends she was referring to in a clip where she opened up about being ghosted twice. 

Tweeps continued to speculate that Pearl might be referring to DJ Zinhle. However the actress said whatever people were saying was “nonsense”.

Taking to her Twitter timeline she asked tweeps to stop speculating.

“This is nonsense. Guys — Zinhle and Lerato have not been my only friends. I didn’t burst out of a rock and become famous — I have childhood friends, before fame friends etc. Please stop this,” she wrote.

In the  video she can be heard explaining she had friendships that had gone south and on both occasions was ghosted.

“I was friends with someone for a very long time. I loved them, they loved me, and I believe we loved each other. But I think we had outgrown each other. I didn't get back to her for a while after something had happened.

“I was dealing with a lot of things. I just moved, and there was just a lot of drama in my life and I didn't get back to her long enough for anyone to get upset. Validated. Then when I came back to say I am sorry, this was my situation, this person punished me. Maybe they were done with my excuses,”  she said.

There was speculation Pearl's friendship with businesswoman DJ Zinhle had been over since 2022 because they don't appear to be as close as they used to be.

However, Pearl came out to say she and Zee were good.
