Black Motion's newest member, Kabelo “Problem Child Ten83" Koma, has poured cold water on comparisons between him and Bongani “Mörda” Mohosana, saying he brings “something new and special” to the group.

The music group added Problem Child Ten83 after Mörda and Thabo “Smol” Mabogwane split last year after more than a decade.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE in Cape Town, where the duo performed at the Corona Sunsets Festival World Tour, “the new kid on the block”, as he is affectionately known, said: "[I bring] a lot that I cannot explain in words, but it comes through in the shows that will be happening.

“If you look closer, you'll see that every time we show up, it is something new and special. Black Motion now is no ordinary DJ and no ordinary drummer. It's two special people and special forces mingled together.”

According to Problem Child Ten83, Black Motion's newfound fame has been a journey and he'll remain the “new kid on the block”.

With a new member, the duo has promised to drop an album in April featuring Msaki and Nokwazi, among its artists.

Smol assured fans the group would stick to its roots and deliver Black Motion's original sound, such as drums and rhythm.

“That's what we always do. [We are] trying to bring the sound of Black Motion to a new level, featuring new artists people don't know about and some amapiano features,” he said.
