Cassper Nyovest is getting ready to release his highly anticipated album, Solomon, and while he is adamant he has nothing to prove, the project will also "put things into perspective" for his avid fans and aspiring artists.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, the Siyathandana hitmaker revealed Maglera Doe Boy was the only rapper he chose to feature in his seventh studio album, set to be released on September 17.

"This is like a Grootman album for me, I've settled into my position in the game. This is who I am. I am no longer young, no longer the hottest guy on the block, I'm not as excited as the new guys — but I'm the guy who did it like nobody did.

"I'm the guy with the game, with jewels. I'm the guy they want to get the information from, so this is the album where I'm basically giving out game. I'm in my element and I'm calm about it. I'm very particular about it," he said.

Having recorded his album in a remote area with his team, Cassper said he chose to film the process with the hopes of releasing it one day.

"We documented it. You can see the album being made, and it's so beautiful because how it was made was so simple, nothing complicated, and it was also a collaborative effort. I don't know where we're going to put it. There's got to be a bag to it."

Among the things in the pipeline for Cassper is his joint tour African Throne with Nasty C set to start on September 1.

The tour will see them perform the collaborations they've done together, and new music from their fresh projects.

"It's nice to hear something new that's exciting and to collaborate with someone like that. That's why I always have exciting collaborations with new guys because I'm always looking to be exciting,

"This tour is a testament to the vibrant tapestry of sounds and rhythms that Africa has gifted to the world. We're thrilled to bring this celebration to every corner of the globe and share the magic of our music."
