While many people in the entertainment industry might still be wondering where their next pay cheque could come from, Celeste Ntuli has bagged a new hosting gig which she hopes could help people with their finances.

The comedian is set to present Metropolitan’s We start 2023 Stronger, a four-part series debuting on Sunday.

The show is expected to encourage Mzansi to harness the power of the collective by setting shared goals with family members, friends, colleagues or even community members.

“It is January and it's dope to start the year working. I was really lucky to get the payment from the gig but to also get the gig itself. It's so humanitarian and I think because we were all humbled by Covid-19, we're all starting to look at our lives differently and to of course expand my craft as a host,” Celeste tells TshisaLIVE.

Having grown up in a family consisting of eight children and parents that ran a tuck-shop business, Celeste says money conversations have always been a norm in their home.

“I found it very interesting to have young and older people and to hear how people perceive money. It improved my self-introspective conversations. In the entertainment industry you get a lump sum and you get a dry season so my relationship with money can improve but I believe I know how to navigate. It's been healthy.”

This year Celeste has big plans for the year. Aside from the show she's planning to grace the big screen showcasing her acting skills.
