After 49 days in the Big Brother Titans house, Juicy Jay of team Juiovla was evicted from the competition this week, only to be told heartbreaking news.

Juicy Jay was devastated to hear of the death of one of his favourite artists AKA while he was in the house.

Kiernan “AKA” Forbes was shot dead outside a popular restaurant in Durban last month with his lifelong friend, celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

The 24-year-old from the Eastern Cape often sang along to AKA's songs while in the house and fans took note of it.

"Getting the news that AKA passed away after leaving the house was a really big shock for me. He was one of my favourite hip hop artists of all time in South Africa and I listen to him a lot, I loved his vibe and energy.

"I'd always go watch him perform, especially when he came to my town.

"The news really rocked me. In the house I was just vibing to his music, singing his songs. He was one of those people who had really good music," he told TshisaLIVE.

As he steps into the real world, Juicy Jay said he has no regrets about how he conducted himself on the show and will take it one day at a time to readjust to the outside world.

"I'm welcoming anything that comes my way. I'll be adjusting slowly and surely to the real world. I'll be taking things day by day."

Olivia, of team name Juiovla, as well as Nelisa and Yemi Cregx, were also evicted from the Big Brother Titans house this week.

That leaves 12 housemates in the running for the grand prize of $100,000 (R1.8m).
