Tender beef meatballs stuffed with an ooey gooey oh-so-tasty cheese filling

Makes: 24

Difficulty: Easy, 30 minutes

Ingredients:

750g beef mince

1 onion, grated

2 eggs, lightly beaten

10ml (2 tsp) Worcestershire sauce

15ml (1 tbsp) mixed herbs

Salt and pepper

2 garlic cloves, minced

60g (1/2 cup) dried breadcrumbs

Olive oil

100g cheese of your choice, grated

Method:

1) Combine the mince, onion, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, herbs, seasoning, garlic and breadcrumbs and mix with your hands.

2) Roll into 24 meatballs, then flatten and place a pinch of grated cheese in the centre. Mould the patty to seal the cheese in the centre and roll lightly in olive oil.

3) Pour about 2cm olive oil into a heavy-bottomed pan and cook the meatballs over medium heat, shaking the pan to prevent sticking, until cooked through. Serve hot with cheeseballs and tomatoes.
